Artist Statement

Art is my favourite form of expression. Some people dance, some people play the guitar, I paint.

My theatre background gave me an appreciation for form, movement and the power of light and shadow. I am inspired by my relationships, by my travels, by nature and by small inconsequential moments.

I am forever learning new forms of expression. Moments are captured with a mark, through colour and with textures. A facial expression tells a story as does a simple curved line.

Ultimately, I paint and create for the pure joy of it.
